So far, the windows have taken us along some of the joys of our blessed mother’s life. Now we come to her greatest sorrow: the death of her Son. As Joseph of Arimathea takes our Lord’s body down from the cross, and in the eloquent words of St. Alphonsus de Liquori, “placed him in the arms of his afflicted Mother, she received him with unspeakable tenderness, and pressed him close to her breaking heart.
